Waffles
Ingredients
makes about 16 dash sized waffles
240g or 2 cups bread flour (all-purpose is fine too)
50g or 1/4 cup granulated sugar
53g or 1/4 cup brown sugar
12g or 1 tablespoon baking powder
7g or ½ teaspoon salt
2 large eggs (100g)
2 cups milk (227g)
57g or ½ cup unsalted butter melted
4g or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- preheat your waffle iron, I like smaller ones but Belgium works too, just fewer per batch
- In one bowl mix the dry ingredients minus the sugar
- In another cream the sugar into the butter and mix in the wet ingredients
- Combine the dry into wet without overmixing
- Dollop about 1/4 cup batter onto waffle iron
- When removing, let them cool on a wire rack to avoid sogginess
- eat fresh or Freeze without squeezing out the air so they can separate and toast from frozen
